The total export cargo of 7,950 tonnes comprised 6,776 tonnes of containerised cargo and 1,174 tonnes of general cargo. As many as 3,065 containers comprising 2,582 containers import and 483 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday. The brakeup of imported containers shows 756 of 20's and 889 of 40's loaded while nil of 20's and 24 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 213 of 20's and 54 of 40's loaded containers while nil of 20's and 81 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There are five ships namely Hyundai Confidence, MT Quetta, Pacific Energy, Ikan Sagai and Maersk Illinois with one container ship, two oil tankers, one bulk cargo ship and one general cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There are five vessels viz Hyundai Confidence, UASC Shuwaikh, Hanjin Durban, Maersk Illinois, and Warnow Mars with three container ships and two general cargo ships respectively are currently at the berths.
There are two ships namely UASC Shuwaikh and Hanjin Durban with two container ships respectively sailed out to sea on Tuesday, while another ship namely Kota Gembira with one container ship is expected to sail on Wednesday. There are seven vessels viz West Scent, Jolly, Kota Gembira, Golden Gion, Bon Chem, UACC Shams and Georgia-M with three container ships, two ethanol tankers, one mogas ship and one coal carrier respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while three vessels viz APL Brisbane, Ital Moderna and Hopeful with two container ships and one general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday. There are two ships namely APL Chicago and SFL Hudson with one container ship and one coal carrier respectively are due to arrive on Thursday
The total export cargo includes 10,507 tonnes of containerised cargo. A total number of 1,552 containers comprising 999 containers import and 553 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday. There are three ships namely CMA CGM Latour, MV Stalt Pando and MT Karachi with containers, chemicals and furnace oil sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning.
A total number of seven vessels viz CV CMA CGM Latour, CV Hanjin Venezia, CV Maersk Kalkata, MV Sai Eternity, MV Success Marilina, MT Stalt Pando and MT Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, phosphoric acid, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as four ships namely Al-Abdali, Beautiful Rena, Mire and Al-Soor-II with containers, rice, furnace oil and diesel oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. There are two vessels viz CV Al-Abdali and MT Al-Soor-II with containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
